Neutrality Policy

TrueViews is committed to presenting public opinion estimates neutrally and transparently. To fulfill this commitment, TruevIews takes the following steps:

• Using all available national surveys with sufficient data to enable public opinion estimates to be generated for all geographic levels
• Using all policy questions from these surveys
• Never omitting policy questions because of their ideological orientations, results, or other reasons.
• Presenting policy questions in a standardized format, asking if respondents support or oppose a given policy
• Presenting public opinion estimates in a standardized format, on a uniform color spectrum from blue ("liberal") to orange ("conservative")
• Including margins of error for all public opinion estimates
• Facilitating access to public opinion estimates in a tabular (non-map) format
